Odan was born under the star sign of Sagittarius.
Literally, Scribal Warrior and Archer. Reference point:
The northern zodiacal constellation. Pictured as a
centaur shooting an arrow and containing the point
in the sky where the center of the Unknown Galaxy
is located. The 9th sign of the zodiac in astrology.
One born under the sign of Sagittarius. Often known
to have an accompanying star called the Wanderer within
its "eye."
The white dog star Bijou is know to circle the constellation
and yet disappear at times. Legend of the Scribe and
his Companion unknown.
- Character's birthplace: Angel Island - Sometimes
referred to as Archangle Island - reason unknown.
- Character's residence: None. The Scribe is a wanderer
but is known to have traveled extensively within Talos
Valley.
- Character's occupation: Scribe
- Character's strengths: Height and weight: Six foot
four inches in height, 225 pounds. Not heavily muscled
but exhibits great overall strength in his body; muscular
upper body, chest, arms and shoulders.
Hair: Black, full, slightly wavy and long.
Eye color: Reported to be hazel-green, blue, gray-blue,
known to sparkle and/or twinkle, depending upoon the
circumstances.
- Character's weaknesses: Wine, women and song, gambling,
inability to admit defeat. *(Does not know that he
is immortal)
- Character's personality: Fairly intelligent. Always
willing to learn and adopt. Fearless and honest (to
a fault). Tends to never make the same mistake twice.
He is loyal and a martial artist. He is self-assured.
A sworn defender of women and children. Honest to
a fault.
As a scribe, however, he has been rusticated from
the Scribal Priesthood because of his failure not
to interfere with events that are taking place.
Over the years he has sought the acquisition of arcane
knowledge. This is done while in a fugue-like state,
but Odan does not remember the act of acquiring the
knowledge except unconsciously.
- Character's powers: Odan can make crystals sing.
His method of inscription causes the crystals to hum
their message because of scribal encoding. This humming
allows the crystals the ability to deliver a message
both by sound and inner vision, which is seen and
heard by the recipient. The sounds of the crystal
are prophetice in their nature, occult-like. They
might appear unintelligible and garbled, but the recipient
always seems to understand the meaning.
- Character's weapons: A staff made of Anglewood,
a very prized and mystical wood. In times of mortal
danger the staff converts to a weapon best described
as a Naginata. Skilled in knife-fighting, wrestling,
martial arts.
- Character's familiar: None. But is accompanied by
an all white Mollossus (an ancient fighting dog of
the High Valleys) named, Bijou aka The Terrible Howling
Beast.
- Character's mount: Dream aka Morning Star -- a wonderful
black stallion with a white mne and tale; possesses
a unique pacing movement, yet its speed is unmatched.
- Character's companions: Odan's constant companion:
The Bijou. His spirit-mate is a faerie encased in
a death crystal that Odan wears around his neck.
- Author's notes: Odan is a rogue. He seeks a quest
that will bring him glory. Having the Scribe as part
of your questing insures that all tales of adventure
will be faithfully recorded, as his crystals sing
their tales of glory.
He is known to never reveal a secret that has been
told to him as a scribe because he makes his scribal
inscriptions in a fugue-like state.
The Bijou a member of the fabled race of Canidae is
his constant companion. Odan is a connoisseur of rare
gems, including the possession of life and death crystals.
Odan is known to be willng to test himself in various
forms of martial arts. His ability to read Tarot cards
is legendary; he is a teller of prophecies.
