Michael Battaglia approaches his one million -- (yes, that's 1,000,000) -- word mark on his opus, "Time Falls Away (to be serialized in Scribal Tales over the next 25 years or thereabouts). But let us give him a "Scribal Shout (goodness, was that corny or what?) on this truly fantastic accomplishment. When you consider that even Stephen King cannot produce at that rate, you realize what type of writing accomplishment that is. Here are some statistics on Michael's post 1997 writing projects: Time Falls Away 3,648 pages (no, I'm not kidding), 850,000 words. Home Is In Your Head, 112,993 words, 188 pages . well, you get the idea, the man is a writing machine. I tip my hat to him and give him my personal Scribal Shout!
(Other completed stories, pre-1997, are: First Encounters, Outsider's Summer, Steeped in Blood, Hunters and Prey, Love and Death, Spare the Child.) Enough, Michael, I have this wonderful girl I'd like you to meet . gee, I forgot, there is also, "Meet Me Where the Autumn Ends," "Gold Star for Robot Boy," "Forward against the Night." Three cheers for Michael.
