| Welcome to Scribal Tales, an Internet writing site featuring, among other fictional prose, Daniel Olarnick's on-going tale of "Odan the Scribe."
Scribal Tales is an "E-zine" for short stories in the fantasy, science fiction, horror and hybrid genre. This site is a stepping-stone to publication in a quarterly magazine, and an anthology involving the "Best of Scribal Tales." Of course, this would be dependent upon Scribal Tales developing an audience and a following.
Here is your opportunity to submit to this site for publication your original fictional work and be paid for it. See details involving submission guidelines.
In addition to the publication of original fiction, there is a shared-world writing project where authors contribute to a common setting or milieu, on the planet Odessa, a fantasy world, where anything and everything can happen and usually does. It is here that your heroes and/or villains vie for power and glory. You will receive recognition for your participation in these shared-world stories, and perhaps, upon publication, financial remuneration will be forthcoming, but for now you will have the wonderful experience of writing with others in the creation of a legend and seeing your work published. I extend to you an invitation to participate. Please go to the Rules and Regulations page to discover the criteria to becoming a member of this exciting writing project. The age of untold adventures awaits you.
Scribal Tales has its own illustrator, Dan Mills, (where for a fee to be negotiated between the illustrator and author) you can bring your fictional characters to visual life.
Scribal Tales has its own critic's column, The Pretentious Twit, by Michael Battaglia, where your submission will be reviewed. Michael Battaglia is the author of Tristian a wonderful on-going series of novels that he has created over the past 10+ years, and will be featured monthly on the Scribal Tales web site.
The Scribal Tales web site has been designed by Rebecca Gallant of Gallantry Web Design; her objectivity and expertise has made this site what it is: Visually beautiful to behold!
Sincerely,
Daniel Olarnick
Editor and Publisher of Scribal Tales
